How long will it take to move?
The time it takes to move depends on the amount of furniture and belongings you have and the distance to your new location.
A lightly furnished one-bedroom apartment can take 2-3 hours to move, while a large, heavily furnished home or office can take 8-10+ hours.
Other variables, such as whether you’ve booked our packing and unpacking service, ease of access, stairs, and parking availability, can also affect how long it takes to move.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking your move at least 2-4 weeks in advance to ensure that you can secure the exact day and time slot that works for you. Booking slots can fill quickly, especially during busy periods, so it’s best to lock in your move as soon as you know your moving date.
What size are your moving trucks?
We have a fleet of moving trucks ranging from our smallest 3t Light Truck, which has a 14m³ capacity, right the way through to our 14-16T Moving Trucks, which feature a 50-70 m³ capacity and are ideal for large, 4–5-bedroom homes.
Based on the size of your home and the quantity of items, our team will be able to recommend the most cost-effective moving service in Sydney for your move.

Our local removal services are charged by the hour starting at $74 per half hour for our Mighty Mouse removal service. This service uses our 3t Light Truck, which has a 14m³ capacity and is ideal for one-bedroom apartments and small offices.
For bigger moves, our Monster removalist service starts at $109 per half hour and includes 3 professional removalists and a 16-tonne truck that can carry 50-60 cubic metres of furniture and belongings.
Our interstate moves are quoted on a fixed-fee basis starting at $1,000 (+ GST). Just like with local moves, the cost of hiring furniture removalists in Sydney depends on what you’re moving, how much you’re moving, and how far you’re moving it.
Is packing included in the price?
Packing can be included as part of your hourly move on moving day, but keep in mind this will add extra time and cost to your booking.
If you’d like to arrange packing ahead of time, we can send two of our professional packers to your home the day before your move for just $55 per half hour (+ GST) to pack your belongings into boxes and ensure you are ready to go for your move.
Am I insured for my move?
All of our Sydney removalist services include public liability insurance, which protects you against the cost of damages or claims if someone is injured or public property is damaged during your move. We also offer comprehensive moving insurance underwritten by Zurich Insurance that protects your belongings and property in the unlikely event of damage. Do I need to load the truck myself?
No, our team will collect your furniture and belongings from your property and load them into the truck. Our team will unload your furniture and belongings at the other end of the move. Marking your boxes with your preferred drop-off location (specific room) at the other end will make it easy for our removalists to drop your belongings into the right room.
